She is crawling - FAST and EVERYWHERE. She can stand on her own while balancing herself on a table or a chair. She waves goodbye. She points to what she wants - like yogurt, the remote control, or mommy's glasses. She loves books. She claps. And my personal favorite - her wiggle dance.
Mmmmm... Broccoli.
Ready for winter!
Evening stroll at Sundance Resort.
Hiking in Millcreek Canyon.
Nap time on the trail.
A wonderful thing is a Tigger!
A Tigger's a wonderful thing.
Their tops are made out of rubber,
their bottoms are made out of spring
They're bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy,
FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN,
The most wonderful thing
about Tiggers is -
I'M THE ONLY ONE!!!
I've no idea how those moms find the time to blog about every adorable and/or pain-in-the-ass move/twitch/sound their babies make. I barely have time to check the mirror to make sure my shirt is not on backwards before leaving the house.
So, we'll fast forward to the latest news on Isa:
1> Isa learned to roll (around month four).
2> She started eating solids - rice cereal and bananas around the same time.
3> Her first set of teeth (bottom two) came out over Labor Day weekend (month seven).
4> She learned to crawl just three weeks ago.
5> She is still a very happy baby. She even tolerated the remodel, much better than her parents.
The remodel officially ended last Saturday, and we've been slowly putting the house back together. As painful as the process was, the place looks fantastic. Now I wish someone (a magical being) would snap his/her fingers and all the boxes would unpack themselves and the contents would fly back into their rightful places...
Photos of the new rooms will be posted on our (um) next update.
As promised, over a month ago, here is a blog entry from our June trip in Jackson Hole. Still working on blog updates from our July family reunion, August trip in New York City, Mike's backpacking trip in Escalante and rafting trip in Cataract Canyon, Jen's half-marathon in Park City, September trips to St. George and Newport Beach, our crazier-than-h*ll home remodel project (phase two), and all the other random STUFF in between that has pushed blogging to number 316 on our (Jen's) to-do list...
We spent Mike's first Father's Day weekend in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to attend our friends' Peter and Amanda's wedding. We hauled two bikes (road and mountain), a portable crib, three suitcases (baby's, parents', and dog's), stroller, several small "miscellaneous" bags, and a dog. I understand why parents are attracted to suburbans now.
The wedding weekend was perfect - festive and filled with wonderful activities. On Thursday, their best man and woman hosted a welcome BBQ in Wilson. On Friday, Amanda's parents hosted a float-dinner trip on the Snake River. The wedding was on Saturday at the Spring Creek Ranch, and the setting was incredible. Also, the wedding was small enough that you got to know the other guests, didn't have to wait in long lines for food or drinks, and got to talk to the hosts - the bride and groom - for more than 30 seconds!!
For his first Father's Day, Mike received a brand new (used) road bike, and got a nice long ride in the Teton National Park. He didn't take any photos, but I was told it was spectacular and that he LOVES his gift.
Here is our favorite snapshot from the wedding weekend.

Hopefully, some of you have been following the Isa updates on Facebook. I'm currently working on blog posts of our Jackson Hole trip, New York trip, and Isa's six-month birthday! Take a look at how BIG she is now!
