Last weekend, I flew in a day before my work meetings in DC so that I could spend some time with Gary, Ale, and their girls. It's a lovely two-hour drive to their home in Virginia, and if not for the storm (pre-tornado), I may have stepped out of the car for a disneyesque moment under a giant willow surrounded by singing robins. On this visit, I got to meet the newest member of the family, Mary Elizabeth. She's only 6.5 pounds but quite alert and likes to kick her very long legs. I also enjoyed getting my hair and make-up done by Rebekah and Megan who were generous in sharing their fifty-plus flavors of lip gloss and dozens of bright ribbons and barrettes.
