Something to blog about (finally)

When I first found out I was pregnant, it was agonizing to keep it a secret and not talk/blog about it for so many weeks. And I was convinced that after the “official” announcement, I would be blogging daily about the joys of pregnancy. Turns out, my daily routine from week 8 to week 16 was about the same. Sleep two-hour intervals. Wake up feeling green and confused. Walk around all day looking for a place to sit, take a nap, and vomit. Weigh myself. Eat yogurt (lots of yogurt). Read What to Expect When You’re Expecting. As you can see, no time to blog.

Oh yes, some time in August, I celebrated a birthday.

I’m now 18 weeks pregnant and have been feeling much better the last couple of weeks. I’ve been able to go to the gym, go into the office (worked mostly from home before), no longer craving yogurt, and have a nice round bump. We even spent six days on the Main Salmon River last week – trip details and photos to be blogged about later.

AND we’re having a GIRL!!!

But really, the biggest news comes from Mike. He didn’t feel we were leaving a big enough carbon foot print with the FJ and purchased this beautifully restored ’56 Chevy from his dad. It used to belong to his grandfather.

Congratulations on the exciting news. I've embraced the idea of a girl this time around and now can't stop shopping for her.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, those early weeks are brutal!

Finally!
I was jonesin' for some ChoBlog! We want all the details of the first kicks and the agonies of the shopping and registering and stuff. The more mundane, the better!
